Springs (2-0) picked up the win Thursday against the Yankees, allowing just one hit and two walks with six strikeouts across seven shutout innings.

Springs didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 8-7 extra-innings loss to the Blue Jays, giving up two runs on five hits and three walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out two.

Scouting Report

Owns a reasonably projectable frame (6'3") and the ability to strike plenty of batters out in the minor leagues, so he can be used in the late innings with confidence. Needs to add more bulk to his lanky frame in order to develop better stamina for Major League Baseball. Must also curb his propensity to walk too many hitters.
