Clase gave up a run on two hits and struck out two in the ninth inning Tuesday to record his 20th save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Reds.
Has great stuff and can be effectively wild as well, as he is a very uncomfortable pitcher to face. Struggles when he cannot command his fastball, which is his bread-and-butter pitch. Mixes in a slider to complement his excellent heater, but he lacks consistency with the off-speed offering. Also, he may throw his fastball a little too much for the big-league level.
Long Range Potential: Talented, inconsistent reliever with upside.
