Urquidy underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow Friday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
The Astros transferred Urquidy (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Is not big but does own a strong lower base, which helps him repeat his delivery with consistency. Owns a varied arsenal of pitches (five in total), though his changeup is his bread-and-butter offering. He displays excellent control and a great feel for the art of pitching. Can also be dominant at times, but only when all of his pitches are working for him.
Long Range Potential: Talented, savvy right-hander with some upside.
