The Diamondbacks placed Ginkel on the 15-day injured list Monday due to a sprained right shoulder, retroactive to Sunday.
Scouting Report
Owns a very projectable frame. Has added some velocity to his formerly pedestrian fastball, thanks mostly to a change in his pitching mechanics, so he is far more of a strikeout artist after the switch. His ability to create a lot of swings and misses makes him a solid candidate for high-leverage innings in MLB.
Long Range Potential: Solid reliever with some upside.
