Daza is scheduled to undergo season-ending surgery on his left shoulder next week, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.
Daza was outrighted to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday after clearing waivers.
Has a projectable (6-2) frame, great speed, bat control and excellent hands. Is also a good defender in the outfield. Can steal plenty of bases and also rack up plenty of extra-base hits. Can produce a lot of runs. At this point, he is still learning how to develop home-run power (which might come with time, added bulk and a much stronger frame). There are no guarantees, however. May not be an everyday player in MLB.
Long Range Potential: Toolsy, athletic outfielder with some upside.
