Kikuchi did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Giants. He allowed two runs on six hits and struck out 13 over 7.1 innings while not walking a batter.

Scouting Report
Has the stuff to rack up impressive strikeout totals. Plus, he has deception in his delivery (which is typical for most Japanese hurlers). Lacks optimum size for a starting pitcher in Major League Baseball, so stamina may be an issue here. Needs to adjust to North American batters.
Long Range Potential: Quality left-hander.
