The Tigers re-signed Nido to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Nido cleared waivers Friday and was sent outright to Triple-A Toledo.
Scouting Report
Has decent pop in his bat for the catching position, which adds to his overall value for Major League Baseball. Can also hit for a solid batting average in the minor leagues. Needs to continue to work on his receiving and game-calling skills in order to maximize his appearances in the big leagues. His home-run power is somewhat limited.
Long Range Potential: Depth catcher.
