Padres president of baseball operations A.J. Preller said Tuesday that the organization will have conversations soon about the possibility of moving Morejon into the starting rotation in 2026, 97.3 The Fan reports.
Morejon (7-3) earned the win over Arizona on Thursday, allowing one hit and walking one batter while notching two strikeouts over 1.2 scoreless innings.
Has a great fastball and a plus curve. Together, they form a lethal combination. He also features two different changeups, so his overall arsenal is very impressive. Lacks ideal height for a pitcher, and he is a thick body. Therefore, he must prove capable of staying in optimum playing shape throughout his MLB career. Also, he is prone to injury.
