Zavala (oblique) was activated from the 10-day injured list and designated for assignment Monday.

The White Sox announced Sunday that Zavala (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Charlotte in the coming days, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Scouting Report
At 5-11, 215 pounds, he boasts the ideal frame for a catcher in Major League Baseball. Has developed decent home-run power over time, thanks to hard work. Is rather inconsistent as a hitter, overall, and could stand to improve his walk/strikeout ratio. Is not a great receiver, nor does he boast a great arm.
Long Range Potential: Backup catcher with a little upside.
