Wilson allowed three earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out one across 3.1 innings Tuesday against the Cardinals.
Wilson yielded two runs on five hits and three walks over five innings against the Cubs on Friday. He struck out five and did not factor in the decision.
A tremendous athlete who played both baseball and football in high school, he combines a solid fastball with a quality changeup to dominate in the minor leagues. Also throws a decent slider. Displays excellent makeup and control. His delivery is somewhat complicated, which can hinder his ability to repeat it with consistency. Therefore, he might need a tweak in his mechanics in order to maximize output in Major League Baseball.
Long Range Potential: Talented right-hander with good upside.
