Soroka tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Monday's 4-0 win over the Pirates. He walked two batters and struck out two.
The Cubs activated Soroka (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Monday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.
His sinking fastball is a consistent weapon, as is his breaking pitch. Also displays excellent control and creates enough deception in his delivery to make life miserable for batters. Lacks the same level of consistency in his changeup that he has with both his fastball and breaking ball, so left-handed hitters can feast on him when he is not on with his change.
Long Range Potential: Excellent right-hander with good upside.
