Philadelphia signed Fry to a minor-league contract Sunday and assigned him to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Scouting Report
Can be hard to hit against, especially for left-handed batters, in the minor leagues. Owns decent strikeout ability and pretty good stuff, overall. Can be used in the late innings at lower levels. Could stand to add bulk and become a more durable pitcher in order to maximize appearances (and effectiveness) in Major League Baseball. Must also prove he can become more consistent.
Long Range Potential: Talented, versatile left-hander with some upside.
