The Mariners selected Garver's contract from Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday.

Scouting Report

Has pretty good pop in his bat, so he can be a solid offensive catcher in the minor leagues. Can also draw his fair share of walks, which adds to his overall hitting profile. Needs to continue to work on the receiving and defensive aspects of the catching position in order to maximize playing time in the big leagues. Must be more consistent.

Long Range Potential: Backup catcher.
