Yarbrough (oblique) was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Manager Kevin Cash said after Thursday's win over the Blue Jays that Yarbrough may have suffered a strained right oblique, and it's "highly likely" the left-hander will be placed on the 15-day injured list, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Owns excellent movement with his pitches, generating plenty of deception. His sinking fastball/changeup combination can be devastating for hitters. Owns a big frame (6-5). Is tough on left-handed batters. Needs to continue to work on his slider in order to maximize output in Major League Baseball. Otherwise, he may become a situational lef-hander at the highest level (instead of a quality starter). Needs more bulk.
Long Range Potential: Solid left-hander with a little upside.
