The Yankees outrighted German (personal) to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
German was placed on the restricted list Wednesday after agreeing to voluntarily submit to inpatient treatment for alcohol abuse.
Owns a projectable 6-2 frame, plus the ability to throw strikes with consistency. Can also strike batters out at lower levels and generally keeps the ball down in the strike zone. Needs to get significantly bigger and stronger in order to have enough stamina to make an impact as a big-league starter. May be a bit too hittable for MLB, which hurts his value.
Long Range Potential: Decent right-hander with a little upside.
