DeGrom (12-7) picked up the win Friday, giving up three runs on four hits over seven innings in an 8-3 victory over the Mets. He struck out two without walking a batter.
deGrom (11-7) took the loss against the Astros on Saturday, surrendering three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight over 5.1 innings.
Is a constant and consistent strike thrower, which helps keep his defenders behind him on their toes. His fastball is his best pitch, and he uses it effectively. Could stand to add a little bulk to his 6-4 frame in order to thrive in the big leagues. Also needs a bit more work on his breaking pitches to dominate.
Long Range Potential: Excellent right-hander.
