Wood (5-5) took the loss Wednesday, allowing five runs on five hits and one walk over 2.1 innings against the Cubs while striking out two.
Wood gave up two hits and no walks without recording a strikeout across 1.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen in Sunday's 4-3 win over Atlanta.
Possesses a great fastball and an even better changeup, which results in plenty of strikeouts and baffled batters. Can be used as either a starter or reliever, which adds to his overall value. Is somewhat fragile, so injuries are an issue for him. Needs to work on improving his slider. Also has trouble repeating his delivery at times, so consistency can also be an issue with him.
Long Range Potential: Quality left-hander, when healthy.
