Has outstanding power for the catching position. Is also a natural leader with a good work ethic and intelligence. Behind the dish, he is smooth with a good hands and throwing arm. Lacks consistency at the plate. Needs to improve his walk/strikeout ratio. Must also cut down on the number of passed balls he surrenders during the course of a big-league season.
Long Range Potential: Talented catcher with some upside.
