Diekman threw a scoreless seventh inning with two strikeouts to earn a hold Wednesday against the Royals.
Scouting Report
Has an ideal pitchers' frame and electric stuff. Can strike hitters out regularly and dominate left-handed batters, mostly due to his drop-down delivery that really makes it hard to pick up the baseball. Must curb his penchant for walking too many batters in order to maximize his big-league output. Also needs to prove he can be used as a ninth-inning option in MLB. Injuries are a factor here.
Long Range Potential: Solid left-handed reliever, when healthy.
