Schlereth inked a minor-league deal with the Red Sox on Monday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Scouting Report
Has a very good arm and enough stuff to pile up impressive strikeout totals in relief (especially at lower levels). Can be effective in very short stints. Is far too hittable at the big-league level at this point, and he also compounds it with too many walks. Needs to display far greater consistency.
Long Range Potential: Journeyman left-hander.
