Atlanta transferred Matzek (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Grant McAuley of 929 The Game reports.
Scouting Report
Has a great pitchers' frame and nasty fastball-curve combination that can fool plenty of batters. When he stays within his limitations, he can be very good. Is still too erratic and lacks control of his pitches, which leads to too many free passes. Anxiety issues may negate a once-promising career in the big leagues.
Long Range Potential: Wild but talented left-hander.
