Scouting Report
Was a stellar offensive player, complete with excellent plate patience and home-run power. Eventually, he settled in nicely at the hot corner and was solid defensively. Was also an intense competitor with some leadership qualities. Struck out his fair share. It took him a long time to put it all together in Major League Baseball (and to find his niche as a third baseman). Injuries became a big story late in his baseball career.
Long Range Potential: Excellent all-around third baseman (when healthy).
