Hudson (2-1) gave up two hits and a walk while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Mets, recording the win in a 5-2 extra-inning victory.
Has a great pitchers' frame and a wealth of quality pitches--including a plus fastball. Can dominate opposing batters via the strikeout when in a relief role (but can also start). Needs to improve his in-game (as well as in-season) adjustments to big-league batters, and also further adjust to a relief role. Injuries have played a big role throughout his career.
