McAllister signed a minor-league contract Tuesday with the Cardinals, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Scouting Report
Boasts an awesome pitchers' frame (6-6, 240 pounds), and he can be an intimidating presence when on the bump. Generally throws a lot of strikes. Can start or relieve. Despite his massive 6-6 frame, he is not always dominant on the mound via the strikeout as a starter (he lacks consistency in that area). Could also improve his stamina.
Long Range Potential: Versatile right-hander.
