Bowman signed a minor-league contract with the Astros on Saturday, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Scouting Report
Throws a quality sinker, which leads to plenty of groundball outs. Also boasts a nice variety of pitches and outstanding command of his arsenal. Lacks ideal size for a big-league pitcher. Also lacks great fastball velocity and a true strikeout pitch, so he may be too hittable for Major League Baseball.
Long Range Potential: Decent right-hander.
