Had the perfect mentality for a closer. Intimidated and challenged hitters with a moving fastball that was usually around the plate. Mixed in a sharp splitter. Thrived under pressure. Lacked a little craftiness. Sometimes he had trouble locating his off-speed stuff. Struggled whenever in low-pressure innings. His demeanor could get under teammates' skin.
