Scouting Report
A natural leader behind the plate, he was a strong defensive catcher with a good arm and the ability to call a good game. Also displayed good power with the bat. His home-run power came at the expense of batting average and on-base percentage, since he was too much of a free swinger at the plate. Also struck out too much.
Long Range Potential: Quality backup catcher.
