REICHEL BROUGHT IN BY BOSTON
The Boston Bruins acquired forward Lukas Reichel from the Vancouver Canucks for a sixth-round draft pick in 2026.
What does it give the Boston Bruins
Reichel joins his third organization of the season after his stint in Vancouver did not work out. The 23-year-old has talent, but he has yet to find consistency at the NHL level. Boston must still like his potential, so they will give him another fresh start. He is likely to remain in the minors for now.
What does it give the Vancouver Canucks
Reichel was not a fit with the Canucks following an early season trade. He probably was not getting another call-up either, so Vancouver was at least able to get a draft pick back for him (a sixth-rounder, after originally giving up a fourth-rounder to acquire him).
Fantasy impact
Reichel has not shown his offensive upside in the NHL the past few seasons. He will remain off the fantasy radar unless he can turn his career around. He could be running out of opportunities.
