In McCarron, the Wild get a lot bigger up front. A mean forward who can line up either on the wing or at center, McCarron is a solid penalty-killing forward as well. No matter where he lines up for the Wild, he will be play a heavy game for them.
What does it give the Nashville Predators
The Predators did good business to land a future second-round draft pick for pending unrestricted free agent McCarron. Nashville might not be done dealing, since they have other pending UFAs on the roster that may also be moved out.
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact here, as McCarron is mostly a fourth-line forward and penalty killer at this point in his NHL career.
