DEVILS BRING IN BJUGSTAD
The New Jersey Devils acquired forward Nick Bjugstad from the St. Louis Blues for forward Thomas Bordeleau and a conditional fourth-round draft pick in 2026.
What does it give the New Jersey Devils
The Devils are adding here, despite their struggles this season. At worst, Bjugstad should upgrade New Jersey's fourth-line center situation. He can also play higher up in the lineup and is capable of playing both center and wing.
What does it give the St. Louis Blues
The Blues are expected to be major sellers before the March 6 trade deadline, so moving Bjugstad could be only the beginning. Bjugstad, 33, has one year left on his contract, so his roster spot should go to a younger player up front.
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact here, as Bjugstad should continue to play as a bottom-six forward with the Devils.
