FLYERS SEND FEDOTOV TO COLUMBUS
The Columbus Blue Jackets acquired goaltender Ivan Fedotov from the Philadelphia Flyers for a sixth-round draft pick in 2026.
What does it give the Columbus Blue Jackets
Fedotov adds much-needed depth in goal for Columbus. The 6'7" netminder should slot in as their No. 3 option behind Jet Greaves and Elvis Merzlikins but could challenge them for playing time in '25-26. Fedotov, now 28, has yet to replicate his KHL success in parts of two NHL seasons.

What does it give the Philadelphia Flyers
The Flyers drafted Fedotov back in 2015 (No. 188 overall), but they will move on from him quickly after struggles in his first full NHL season. He might still have some potential, so Philadelphia at least got back a draft pick here, despite his $3.275 million cap hit this season.

            Fantasy impact
The Blue Jackets' goaltending situation is a bit uncertain heading into 2025-26, so Fedotov is worth keeping an eye on. But do not expect much from him in fantasy hockey for now. He will need to turn it around in order to earn any NHL starts after a disappointing debut season.
