The Los Angeles Kings acquired winger Zack MacEwen from the Philadelphia Flyers for winger Brendan Lemieux and a fifth-round draft pick in 2024.
What does it give the Los Angeles Kings
In MacEwen, the Kings are adding a big, physical winger for their fourth line. He is similar to Lemieux but will balance out their winger situation better as a right-handed right-winger.
What does it give the Philadelphia Flyers
Lemieux should fit in nicely with the Flyers as a rambunctious fourth-line winger, although he is a pending UFA. The future draft pick could end up being the main asset acquired by Philly.
Fantasy impact
Lemieux will probably have a dress rehearsal with Philadelphia down the stretch. MacEwen will probably be used sparingly by Los Angeles. Neither is a fantasy option in most leagues.
