The Colorado Avalanche acquired winger Andrew Cogliano from the San Jose Sharks for a fifth-round draft pick in 2024.
What does it give the Colorado Avalanche
The Avalanche acquired Artturi Lehkonen earlier, but now get fourth-line winger Cogliano. He will add more depth for Colorado's bottom-six forward group and will also kill penalties for the Stanley Cup contenders.
What does it give the San Jose Sharks
The Sharks are a playoff bubble team but there chances are not great. Cogliano was useful but ultimately expendable at this time. They will get back a fifth-rounder in '24.
Fantasy impact
Cogliano is strictly a fourth-line forward, so there is no need to pick him up.
