VIKINGS ADD SPEEDSTER MIKE WALLACE
The Minnesota Vikings acquired wide receiver Mike Wallace and a seventh-round draft pick in 2015 from the Miami Dolphins for a fifth-round draft pick in 2015.
What does it give the Minnesota Vikings
In Wallace, the Vikings land a tremendous deep threat (one of the best in the NFL, in fact). Wallace should help second-year QB {P Teddy Bridgewater} immensely in 2015, as well as the running game (probably led by veteran {P Adrian Peterson} if he returns). Wallace will likely team with {P Charles Johnson}, {P Greg Jennings} and perhaps {P Cordarrelle Patterson} to form a very solid group of receivers in Minnesota.
What does it give the Miami Dolphins
For the Dolphins, this trade was largely a salary dump. The recent acquisition of {P Kenny Stills} from New Orleans made Wallace somewhat expendable. In fact, the latter had been on the trading block for some time now. He had expressed a desire to leave and even had issues with Miami starting quarterback {P Ryan Tannehill}. It was definitely time for Wallace to move on. That said, the Fins didn't get much in return.
Fantasy impact
Wallace's fantasy value should remain the same moving from Miami to Minnesota, though the Vikings have recently been far more of a running team than the Dolphins. That may change, however, if Minny decides to part ways with Peterson this off-season.
