The Cincinnati Bengals acquired defensive tackle/nose tackle Dexter Lawrence from the New York Giants for a first-round draft pick in 2026 (No. 10 overall).

What does it give the Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals lost defensive end Trey Hendrickson earlier in the off-season via free agency, so they decided to bring in an interior defensive lineman in Lawrence instead. Cincinnati's defense will look a lot different in 2026; Lawrence might make a huge impact, especially against the run.

What does it give the New York Giants
The Giants already owned the No. 5 pick in this year's draft. Now they have two early picks among the top 10 selections. What are they planning to do with these picks? It seems new head coach John Harbaugh is putting his stamp on the team but will New York miss Lawrence?

Fantasy impact
Lawrence got dealt and was able to secure a contract extension with the Bengals, which was the main reason for his departure from New York. He is a better player in real life than for fantasy rosters, though.
