FITZPATRICK FLIPPED TO THE JETS
The New York Jets acquired safety Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Miami Dolphins for a seventh-round draft pick in 2026 (No. 238 overall).
What does it give the New York Jets
The Jets defense was not only poor last season but they failed to register a single interception in 2025!!! Fitzpatrick is notorious for being in the right place at the right time as a deep safety, though he can also play other roles on defense. He should greatly improve New York's secondary.
What does it give the Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins are completely remaking their roster this off-season. They are changing everything, especially their attitude. The defense will be much more physical under Jeff Hafley and it will probably be a much younger group. Fitzpatrick was a casualty of that.
Fantasy impact
Fitzpatrick is moving to a defense that has struggled to turn the ball over, so his fantasy value could take a hit this season. Draft him in very deep IDP (individual defensive player) leagues, at best.
