JOHNSON II TRADED FOR T'VONDRE SWEAT
The Tennesee Titans acquired defensive end Jermaine Johnson II from the New York Jets for defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat.
What does it give the Tennessee Titans
Johnson will be reunited with former Jets (and new Titans) head coach Robert Saleh in Tennessee. With the Titans switching to a 4-3 base defense in 2026, Johnson should be a good fit because of his familiarity with the system.
What does it give the New York Jets
For the Jets, the priority on defense remains stopping the run. Adding Sweat inside should help. New York traded star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams before last year's trade deadline, so this move should bring better depth inside.
Fantasy impact
Johnson has been disappointing in terms of quarterback sacks so far in his NFL career. Will that turn around in Tennessee? Maybe. He is far too much of a gamble for most IDP fantasy leagues, though. As for Sweat, he has no fantasy value.
