JA'SIR TAYLOR JOINS THE JETS

The New York Jets acquired cornerback/safety Ja'Sir Taylor from the Los Angeles Chargers for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2028.

What does it give the New York Jets
The Jets just traded away star cornerback Sauce Gardner in a deal with Indianapolis, so perhaps Taylor is being brought in as added secondary depth at this time. Taylor is a New Jersey native, so he should be excited about this move.

What does it give the Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers made a move to add an offensive lineman before the trade deadline in Trevor Penning from New Orleans. Perhaps they felt they needed the roster spot, so Taylor is on the move to the Jets for minimal return.
