The Cleveland Browns acquired cornerback Tyson Campbell and a seventh-round draft pick in 2026 from the Jacksonville Jaguars for cornerback Greg Newsome II and a sixth-round draft pick in 2026.
What does it give the Cleveland Browns
It is rare that NFL teams swap players who play the same position, let alone those who were drafted in the same year! And yet, here we are. Campbell was drafted later than Newsome II but is considered an upgrade at this time. Let's see what happens.
What does it give the Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars are enjoying success in the early stages of 2025, but they could use more help in the secondary. Newsome II will likely start for Jacksonville, especially if rookie Travis Hunter is used more as a wide receiver than cornerback moving forward.
