OWEH FOR GILMAN
The Los Angeles Chargers acquired linebacker/defensive end Odafe Oweh and a seventh-round draft pick in 2027 from the Baltimore Ravens for safety Alohi Gilman and a fifth-round draft pick in 2026.
What does it give the Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers are hurting for pass rushers these days, after releasing Joey Bosa in the off-season and losing Khalil Mack to injury. Oweh might be able to help, so his acquisition is well worth the price it took to get him from Baltimore.
What does it give the Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are a mess right now. Their defense has been shambolic so far in 2025. Therefore, trading away Oweh may not have been the best idea at this time. Gilman might be able to help the team's secondary but Baltimore needs a lot more.
Fantasy impact
Neither Oweh nor Gilman are automatic pickups in individual defensive player leagues. They may do better with their respective new teams but they will also be used situationally and/or as part of a defensive rotation.
