SAINTS PICK UP POLK

The New Orleans Saints acquired wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk and a seventh-round draft pick in 2028 from the New England Patriots for a sixth-round draft pick in 2027.

What does it give the New Orleans Saints
Well, this is interesting. Polk is currently on injured reserve and will not play at all in 2025. So the Saints are acquiring a wide receiver for the 2026 campaign–despite the fact we are only in Week 2 of the 2025 season. Interesting.

What does it give the New England Patriots
The Patriots had already grown tired of Polk's lack of consistency, even before his season-ending injury. Therefore, it is no surprise that they traded him. It is a surprise, however, that they were able to find a taker at this time.

Fantasy impact
Obviously, there is no fantasy impact this season. There may be next year, but even that is not a given.
