VELE SENT TO THE SAINTS
The New Orleans Saints acquired wide receiver Devaughn Vele from the Denver Broncos for a fourth-round draft pick in 2026 and a seventh-round draft pick in 2027.
What does it give the New Orleans Saints
Usually, Broncos head coach Sean Payton trades for former Saints, since that is where he used to coach. In this case, it is New Orleans that acquired a former Bronco in wideout Vele, a versatile receiver with some untapped upside. This is a good move by the Saints because they need help everywhere.

What does it give the Denver Broncos
For the Broncos, moving on from Vele cements the roles of other wide receivers such as Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims Jr. and Troy Franklin just a bit more. Denver did well to secure two draft picks in return for Vele, including a fourth-rounder in next year's draft. This is a good deal for all parties involved.

            Fantasy impact
While he is still not a great fantasy option, Vele's stock should be on the rise after this trade. He is going to get greater opportunities in New Orleans, although their murky quarterback situation negates his potential impact to some degree. Proceed with caution on draft day.
