JAMES ROBINSON TO THE JETS

The New York Jets acquired running back James Robinson from the Jacksonville Jaguars for a conditional sixth-round draft pick in 2023.

What does it give the New York Jets
In Robinson, the Jets land an established running back who will likely share carries with Michael Carter in lieu of Breece Hall, who suffered a season-ending knee injury recently. Robinson is a solid addition for the surprising Jets at this time. New York needs more help for struggling second-year QB Zach Wilson.

What does it give the Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars decided to part ways with Robinson partly because of the emergence of Travis Etienne Jr. this season. The latter has taken over as Jacksonville's starting running back. JaMychal Hasty has also done well in reserve, so Robinson was deemed expendable.

Fantasy impact
Robinson's fantasy fortunes may improve in New York, although he is still expected to back up Carter. Robinson is worth picking up if available in shallow leagues.
