TEXANS MOVE FOR MARCUS CANNON

The Houston Texans acquired offensive lineman Marcus Cannon, a fifth-round draft pick in 2021 and a sixth-round draft pick in 2021 from the New England Patriots for a fourth-round draft pick in 2021 and a sixth-round draft pick in 2021.

What does it give the Houston Texans
The Texans have done a solid job of acquiring pieces this off-season, with Cannon being a prime example. The latter opted not to play in 2020, so he should be fresh and ready to go for his new team in '21. Expect Cannon to play right tackle for Houston.

What does it give the New England Patriots
The Patriots acquired Trent Brown from Las Vegas in a separate deal, which made Cannon expendable. So, they did well to get something for him instead of outright releasing him. Both New England and Houston got what they needed here.

Fantasy impact
Houston's offense may be better with Cannon, but the elephant in the room for the Texans remains the situation revolving around franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson.
