RAMS REEL IN AUSTIN CORBETT
The Los Angeles Rams acquired offensive guard/center Austin Corbett from the Cleveland Browns for a fifth-round draft pick in 2021.
What does it give the Los Angeles Rams
The Rams just lost starting left guard Joseph Noteboom (torn ACL), so they needed some depth on the interior of their depleted and underperforming offensive line. Corbett is more of a project at this stage of his NFL career, so LA is hopeful that he can finally realize his potential with some good coaching.
What does it give the Cleveland Browns
The Browns decided to give up on Corbett, who was selected 33rd overall in 2018, mostly because they did not see much improvement from him. A tackle in the collegiate ranks, Corbett was a bust as both a guard and a center during his time in Cleveland. They will take the fifth-rounder and move on.
Fantasy impact
Corbett will not change the fortunes of either the Rams or Browns, nor will he be a factor for fantasy leaguers.
