KNICKS LAND JARED JORDAN
The New York Knicks acquired the rights to guard Jared Jordan from the Los Angeles Clippers for cash considerations.
What does it give the New York Knicks
In Jordan the Knicks pick up a pass-first playmaker who will be better than his draft position (No.45 overall this year). With Stephon Marbury an inconsistent option and Nate Robinson more of a shooter, Jordan could conceivably see regular minutes this season running the show for New York. This move may also mean an end to Dan Dickau's stint with the team. An intriguing pick-up.
What does it give the Los Angeles Clippers
This is a bit of an odd move by the Clips. With Sam Cassell too old to play regularly and Shaun Livingston possibly out for most of the year, they have only the injury-prone Brevin Knight to run the point for them. Jordan is a great sleeper for the upcoming season but apparently the Clips figured they can use the cash more.
