PORZINGIS PICKED UP BY THE WARRIORS
The Golden State Warriors acquired center/forward Kristaps Porzingis from the Atlanta Hawks for forward Jonathan Kuminga and guard/forward Buddy Hield.
What does it give the Golden State Warriors
When healthy, Porzingis can be a force at both ends of the floor, whether he starts or comes off the bench. Unfortunately, health continues to be a huge factor for him. The 30-year-old Latvian is now with his sixth NBA team in 11 seasons.
What does it give the Atlanta Hawks
Atlanta has moved out huge names this season but look to be making strides. Kuminga had a nasty exit from Golden State and needed a fresh start. He might make an impact when he gets healthy. Hield is a journeyman swingman who adds depth.
Fantasy impact
Both Porzingis and Kuminga are high-risk, high-reward fantasy players. Gambling types are more likely to take a flier on either player if they are available in various leagues. Hield has no fantasy value as a depth NBA swingman.
