ZUBAC PICKED UP BY THE PACERS

The Indiana Pacers acquired center Ivica Zubac and forward Kobe Brown from the Los Angeles Clippers for forward/guard Bennedict Mathurin, center Isaiah Jackson, a first-round draft pick in 2026, a first-round draft pick in 2029 and a second-round draft pick in 2028.

What does it give the Indiana Pacers
Losing center Myles Turner to free agency (Milwaukee) has really hurt Indiana this season. Therefore, getting Zubac should help the Pacers moving forward. It won't be a factor this season, as they are mired in last place. When superstar guard Tyrese Haliburton is back in 2026-27, Zubac should help Indiana. Brown adds more big man depth, too.

What does it give the Los Angeles Clippers
For the Clippers, they are in the midst of remolding their squad during the trade deadline. While they are still in the playoff picture in the Western Conference this season, this trade is mostly about the future. Mathurin is a quality, versatile performer who can both start or come off the bench. Jackson is a backup big man, while the draft picks are going to really help.

Fantasy impact
Zubac and Mathurin are both fantasy-relevant players whose stocks are likely to remain stable after this trade. Meanwhile, Brown and Jackson are mainly depth players with no fantasy value.
