DOSUNMU MOVES TO MINNESOTA
The Minnesota Timberwolves acquired guard/forward Ayo Dosunmu and forward Julian Phillips from the Chicago Bulls for guard Rob Dillingham, forward Leonard Miller, a conditional second-round draft pick in 2026, a second-round draft pick in 2027, a conditional second-round draft pick in 2031 and a conditional second-round draft pick in 2032.
What does it give the Minnesota Timberwolves
Dosunmu is a quality addition to the Timberwolves because of his versatility. He can start or come off the bench and be used as a backup at three positions, at least. Phillips will add depth to the Minnesota frontcourt. This move makes a Timberwolves team even stronger.
What does it give the Chicago Bulls
The Bulls are clearly a team in transition so it should not be a surprise that they continue to make moves at the trade deadline. Dillingham is a backup point guard, while Miller is an unproven forward. So, the key to the trade from a Chicago point of view are the four second-rounders added.
Fantasy impact
Dosunmu may not start many games in Minnesota but he should be a factor off the bench. His fantasy value should remain largely intact. Meanwhile, none of Phillips, Dillingham or Miller are likely to become fantasy factors this season.
