KNICKS ADD ALVARADO VIA NEW ORLEANS

The New York Knicks acquired guard Jose Alvarado and forward Latavious Williams from the New Orleans Pelicans for forward/guard Dalen Terry, two future second-round draft picks and cash considerations.

What does it give the New York Knicks
With Miles McBride currently injured long term, the Knicks needed more help at the point guard position. Alvarado will help back up Jalen Brunson down the stretch.

What does it give the New Orleans Pelicans
Do not expect Terry to remain with the Pelicans. He was acquired to make the money work in this transaction. However, landing two future second-rounders is good for New Orleans.
